I shared a bit of my story, got real advice from Guy and Travis Boersma (co-founder of @dutchbroscoffee), who talked about sitting in proper ceremony with one of my favorite plants 🌱⁠

How I Built This has been part of my life for nearly 9 years.

For those unfamiliar, HIBT is a podcast about innovators, entrepreneurs, idealists and their stories about the movements they built.

I’ve been listening since the year it aired in 2016. It was my final semester in college and I can still tap into the visceral feelings of inspiration and fascination I felt while hearing those early episodes sharing the origin stories of brands I loved and respected — like that of Yvon Chouinard founder of Patagonia, John Mackey of Whole Foods, and Tom Mykoskie of Toms Shoes.

Not to mention the founding stories of Airbnb, Instagram, Southwest Airlines, Warby Parker, Lyft the list goes on & on.

For obvious reasons, I am beyond stoked to have had the opportunity to share a bit of my story and receive advice from one of my all time favorite show hosts/entrepreneurs, Guy Raz.

I am so grateful and humbled that the guest was the charming and endearing co-founder of Dutch Bros Coffee, Travis Boersma. Who turns out has experienced a ceremony with one of my all time favorite plants, that not even I have had the opportunity to do!!!! (no spoilers)

To my surprise, the episode aired on NPR and my inbox was flooded with interest, support, and encouragement. Plus, tinctures starting selling! We've done just over $3k in sales, largely due to this episode. and 5 star reviews are starting to roll in which is very encouraging.

i'm still over the moon about it all.
